Farm Tour This Weekend
Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan releases his ninth studio album, SIGNS, today. The 12-track album, produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens, features Luke’s Top 10 hit “Country And She Knows It.”
“Well, I think first and foremost, oh gosh, mean, there’s a hundred levels of the evolution. think you look at your first album, you have an idea of your identity as an artist. You kind of have an identity of what you’re going to be, but you have to have people helping you along the way too. You’ve got to have people in your inner circle that are advising you. I think what I had going for me is I knew I loved being on stage and I knew I loved connecting in front of fans. But the main thing is I didn’t know what songs were going to do that at that point in my life. The bird had to kind of hatch from the egg and jump out of the nest. And so now throughout my career, I mean, even vocalist wise, I didn’t know what I was as a vocalist back then. I didn’t really know how to take an outside song that I didn’t write. I mean, the reason why I had to write so much back then is I could really only sing my songs that I wrote. I could really only interpret them. I couldn’t interpret other people’s songs. So now, you know, 19 glorious, crazy years later, you know, there’s no surprises to me. There’s no, when I hear something that I know is, that is for me, that’s going to speak to my fans. I know it’s going to speak to me and my fans and I know it works for me. But then when I hear something that’s a little out of the box for me too, I want to go that route too. I don’t want to have like a safety blanket around me where I’m only trying to pick radio candy, radio songs, radio this. I want to pick stuff that talks about me as a kid, this, that. When you look at Woods off the album, I just want songs that really speak to where I’m at and now I know that I can live with the song. I mean, can go right into a recording studio, sing a couple lines, I can know. I’m like, you know, I’m not feeling it today. Let me come back when my voice is 110%. So I think vocally, I’m not even the same human being. I think vocally, I’m probably twice as more dynamic as I was the guy of the first album, because I just… was discovering all that, discovering. Back then, I’m doing 300 shows a year, so most of the time, I’m in front of a vocal mic and my voice is completely exhausted. So now, I could take little breaks from the road and come in and do the album. So, a lot of knowledge, a lot of growth, a lot of, but through all of it, a lot of fun. I I think the bottom line is I will always try to listen and react to what the fans seem like they wanna react to. If I think I’ve written the greatest song in the history of Nashville and I play it for a hundred people and nobody reacts, then it just became the not greatest song in the Nashville. So I don’t, get married. I focus on what people react to and I’m going to get behind that rather than me trying to prove a point for my own self, whatever, my own tootin’, my own horn kind of thing.”
Luke is scheduled to perform and join Jimmy Fallon for a chat on The Tonight Show on Sunday, September 27. That show is the first of four special episodes planned for this football season, airing after the Los Angeles Rams versus Denver Broncos game. Sylvester Stallone will also make an appearance. The next day, Luke will perform on Good Morning America and GMA 3.

In its 17th year, Luke’s plays the fall leg of Farm Tour this weekend. The son of a peanut farmer, Luke has brought shows to farms across the country since the tour’s inception in 2009. Before this weekend’s show, Luke has awarded 90 college scholarships to students from farming families attending the local college or university near tour stops and has provided more than 11 million meals through presenting sponsor Bayer’s #HerestotheFarmer. Luke’s work with these programs has been critical to raising awareness, educating communities, and expanding access to nutritious food, vitamins, and minerals. During Farm Tour shows, Luke and Bayer have supported food security in Farm Tour markets by mobilizing thousands of concertgoers to donate to local food banks, helping thousands of families. Through on-site collections, generous fans have contributed more than 16,000 pounds of nonperishable food so far, which will directly provide meals to regional hunger-relief organizations. FFA chapters also partnered with Bayer this year on the “Spirit of 1776” CAN DO Challenge. Donations totaling more than 10,000 cans were given to local food banks to support communities across the country.
On September 24, Luke will return to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, a venue he has sold out six consecutive times, including 2023, 2021, and two back-to-back sold-out dates in both 2017 and 2013. Luke has sold more than 20 million concert tickets throughout his career.
