Award-winning, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jordan Davis today released his new single “Mess,” out now. Written by Davis alongside writers Jacob Davis, Travis Wood and writer/producer Paul DiGiovanni, the track dives headfirst into the reckless side of heartbreak, capturing the undeniable temptation of letting someone back in when you already know exactly how the story ends. “Mess” finds Davis putting a fresh, candid spin on the aftermath of heartbreak, finally convincing himself he has moved on, only to discover that the person who hurt him still has the power to undo all the progress he has made. Equal parts vulnerable, playful and unapologetic, the song captures the kind of chemistry that makes good decisions feel nearly impossible. Sharp-witted and instantly memorable, “Mess” embraces the contradiction at the center of its story: knowing someone can wreck your peace and wanting them to do it anyway. Listen here.

“Hey it’s Jordan Davis and here’s my new song Mess.”
JORDAN DAVIS – “MESS” (STORY AUDIO)
Yeah, so the new song, Mess, man, this was a song that I feel like I haven’t done this kind of song in a long time. I wrote this with some good friends in Nashville and it really kind of started with the groove of it. We kind of just fell in love with the way the track felt and Mess was what kind of came of that. But yeah, I mean, since the day we wrote it, I knew I wanted to record it and really glad that we’re putting it out and people are getting to hear it.”

The new track is the latest new music from “modern-day storyteller” (Billboard) Davis, whose “known for his infectious energy and relatable, sharp-witted storytelling” (iHeart) and knows how to write a country song that resonates with listeners.” “Mess” arrives following the release of Davis’ latest album, Learn The Hard Way, which earned critical acclaim for “unquestionably elevat(ing) Davis … to leading man status” (American Songwriter) and three consecutive No. 1 singles with “I Ain’t Sayin’,” and “Bar None,” and “Turn This Truck Around.” The album produced Davis’ 11th career No. 1 country radio hit and a record-breaking 8 week run at UK radio with “I Ain’t Sayin’.”

Davis’ previous album, Bluebird Days, produced four consecutive No. 1 singles and Song of the Year honors for both 6X Platinum-selling “Buy Dirt” and nearly 4X Platinum-selling “Next Thing You Know.” The achievement marked the first time an artist had won Song of the Year accolades for two separate songs from the same album, in “a moment where his songwriting and artistic depth not only match the scale of his success, but finally outpace it” (The Tennessean).

“…unquestionably elevates Davis to leading man status.” – American Songwriter
“Thoughtfulness that results in a genuine delivery in his music” – Billboard
“This man never disappoints. His warm, conversational delivery gets me everytime” – MusicRow
“A level of comfort within his personal identity that allows honesty to flow from his lyrical content” – American Songwriter
“..his undeniable ability to take a set of lyrics and breathe life into the story” -Country Now

Currently on tour across the US through October, earlier this year Davis sold-out a series of international dates including London’s OVO Arena Wembley, as well as an international headlining run that toured through the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Davis also recently released “Like God Intended” as well as his chart-topping collaboration with Thomas Rhett, “Ain’t A Bad Life,” and, by fan-demand, a cover of James Bay’s international hit “Let It Go,” available now.
