In a recent interview, Josh Ross talks through the musical influences he had growing up.
“I was lucky to grow up in a time where music really didn’t have borders and division to it. So yeah, I grew up a huge Steve Earl fan was kind of the one that originally got me into country music through something that I would call my uncle, he’s one of my dad’s close friends. And then yeah, I listened to a lot of like Alan Jackson, George Strait. And then it was, you know, I was in the era of like the floor Georgia line and Thomas Rhett. And those were like the new artists that I was really excited about when I was really getting into country music.”
